Missed a couple entries

Hello everyone,

Sorry I have missed the last entries, I’ve been really busy on a couple things you guys will like.

First off, our first song Stargaze (feat. Domino) will be releasing shortly. We have had a little setback but it’s easily fixable.

Second, I’m working on a solo song right now. This song is going to be reflecting me, so I’m excited to get this released. I haven’t named it yet, but I’ll update the blog when it is.

Third, my partner is also working on a solo song, but I’ll be helping him finalize it. So I’m excited to hear what he’s made.

Overall, I’m so excited for these next few weeks as we wrap up our project. It’s been such a journey researching and talking to people. But my favorite thing is just working with my friend, and creating something we are both passionate about.

Second Update

So our project has kind of hit a slow curve, with holiday break upon us and overall work piling up, it’s been kind of hard to get the project rolling at the speed we want it to be at. But we have been reaching out to people for mentorship rolls, but other than that, nothing really to report.

I am still super hyped up to be working with my friend on this. Even though it starts slow, just wait until the beats start rolling.

First Update

Hello Everyone,

Today I am feeling very excited! My partner and I have revised our project proposal and now we’re starting our pitch. I feel that we are getting back on track.

I am also excited because we figured out our music group’s name. We have decided on the name 2AM because we were sitting in class and someone yelled “2am” randomly and it stuck with us.

The Startup

Today marks the startup of our musical journey. Although there has been some planning for a while, me and my partner are very eager to begin phase 1 of our music production project. So far we have narrowed it down to Electronic Music because that is our favorite genre. So we will be needing some equipment and other things. A music video might come with one of our songs, but we will have to see.

    The equipment won’t be hard to get. We already have a turntable and a launchpad ready to roll, but an additional pad may be necessary. We will also need a keyboard and a voice box if we want to do vocals. Also, a camera would be required to keep our viewers updated on how the project is going, along with shooting the video if needed. We will be using FL Studio 12 to make our music because we are familiar with that software and our mentor knows how to use it to its fullest potential.

    Other than the equipment, I have found no problems in our project. Although I am a little nervous to do a full album, I am confident that me and my partner will enjoy this, and will be satisfied with our final product.
